10.26.2008 :: 66. How warm feet can make a warm heart!

What would make these wonderfully manicured feet happy?

Why, Cookie socks, of course! You could have knocked me over with some lace weight when I opened the Cookie package and found the nicest note and these beautiful socks. I cried a little and then put them on. They are wonderful and fit like a glove. Or like hand knit socks. The only detail that I know is that they are Smooshy yarn, which is quite possibly one of my favorites, just ask my toes. Not to knit with, to wear. I've never knit with it. It's been a long while since socks graced my needles.
Perhaps Cookie will expound on the sock details. I'm not sure of the pattern. If she mentioned it in her blog, I probably skimmed it anyway. :(
(I can't help it. I'm a skimmer!)
Great job, Cookie! And thank you from the very tips of my polished toes!

Lucky me, round 2:
There is a pork roast in the oven along with some deliciously roasting brussel sprouts along with a pot of fresh dug mashed potatoes. (they were not mashed when they were dug)
Dinner is at 6. Don't be late.

Man! I missed dinner. That is what I get for reading blogs late.

Darn! I AM late for dinner. You are lucky, and deservedly so, on all fronts.

I'm late for dinner! But it's all right -- I've got a Vermont chicken roasting in the oven and my own squash and kale, too. It won't be loverly pork and mashed 'taters that Sandy prepared, but it won't be too dusty.
THOSE SOCKS ARE DA BOMB. That Cookie!!! Soooo pretty Sandy Sky socks!

You went outside in bare foots?! o.0
I am so glad you like them, my Sandy. They were a lot of fun to knit. The pattern is called Mockery. No, I don't know why. Google it if you're interested, people! I used my usual 2.75 mm dpns and CCST for the heels and toes.
I'll link to this post tomorrow with better looking details. *L*
Cute toes!

I'm not late for dinner and I love brussel sprouts!
That Cookie. Full of surprises, that one.
P.S. Cute polish color.

Leaving right now... oops, already too late. Sigh. I shall have to admire your lovely socks from afar.
