12.06.2008 :: 25. The best way to spread Christmas cheer..

We had a fun day today buying our front door wreath and evergreen roping for the front porch.I also weeded out a bit of stuff in the house (well overdo).
A short Saturday entry for you with a Fig picture and a bit of Christmas cheer for you. And me.
Cheer is best spread.

"The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear."

~Buddy the Elf

Here's one to sing loudly to. I love this song!

That young man can sing!

Do you have your wreath up is you do wreaths?

Thank you so much for your daily posting of "Cheer". Because I'm a sentimental old fool, they usually have me tearing up, but that's OK. Thank you. Hugs to sweet Fig.

Yup, our wreath went up yesterday. It's the first time we've ever hung an artificial one but for a number of reasons it made sense to buy one this year. It's got lights and everything!

There's even a few decorations up in the house and a few more to go up this week.

There's our Fig! He looks like he's thinking profound thoughts. "Mmmm, chicken" most likely.

Nope. No wreath yet... the fake one is in the foyer, though. With the faux swag on the "doors to nowhere". :)

No wreath yet. I did *consider* it yesterday, though. So there's hope, I suppose. Maybe.

Not. LOL

Love your tune! I don't know how I've missed this guy, but it's the first time I've heard him.
I have a fabric wreath that my sister-in-law made for me many years ago. It's the only wreath we ever hang up. But haven't done it yet, this year.

Poor Fig! My heart is breaking. I love to see pictures of that little guy.

I'm thinking about a wreath. I love the smell of Christmas (not cinnamon) and might put out on or two decorations.

We put the tree up yesterday and it only took an hour before one of the children pulled it over. No harm done and I'm pretty sure it won't happen again! I'm heading over to the Twist trunk show at Beverly Farms today (Sunday). Is that near you?

Hi Fig! Mittens and Socks say get well soon. We put two big wreaths up on either side of our front porch. I guess we'll do that next weekend.

I put my wreaths up on Thursday. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

There's nothing up at our house yet, but DH and I did spend the morning hanging the greens in the church. There is a swag over the altar, and a swag over each of the stained glass side windows. The windows have never had greens hung, so DH was up on his extension ladder putting white cup hooks on the tops of the window frames. The swags got purple bows for advent, and will be changed out to beautiful white bows for Christmas.
