12.08.2008 :: 24. This is a video post. I have made a (Crappy quality) video of myself making a fool of myself. Be kind.
Pay no attention to the bad hair and bad lighting. This was just a bit of an experiment. Be kind.
and your Christmas song du jour.
There you have it. A complete video post. (almost anyway!)
DO you like the written word better? Can't blame ya!

Sandy, you are adorable! And your hair looked lovely. That was one of the nicest blog posts I've ever read ... err ... listened to. I think you should at least make this a weekly thing, if not daily!

Really cute! Now I want your fish chowder recipe. Sounds perfect for a cold day.
Great job on the video post. :)

Loved your video post! And the Boston Pops clip brought back so many memories of when I lived in Boston and had annual tickets to Christmas with the Pops. I even remember Arthur Feidler wearing his Santa hat!

Hi - I'm delurking to let you know that I love your video post! It is definitely "Okay". It's great to see people and hear their voices after only reading their words for so long.
As Elmo would say, "Again! Again!"

I look forward to your Christmas song every day. Way better than any Advent calendar, even the one with chocolate!
This one brought back really old memories.... in high school, (circa '64) my boyfriend was the percussionist in the band, and this piece was one of his favorites. Thanks for the sweet memory!

Love your video post! The hippo song always makes me happy.
And, like Rachel, my husband doesn't think I should have a giraffe, either. What is it with these men?

Oh Sandy, I miss you! I love the video post, a little bit of Sandy in my family room. It was great!

You are so stinkin' funny!! Loooove it. I'll be right over for some chowda! It's only a four hour drive!

I'll buy you a hippo for Christmas if you buy me a giraffe (my husband, for some reason, thinks a giraffe is an unreasonable request).
Very cute post - loved the video!

I love it! Your post was fab...
I'm a Connecticut Yankee who has been living in Florida for 28 years... but I still speak as though I never left CT! It is nice to hear chowda!

I really enjoyed getting to see and hear you. Each blog I read has its own imaginary "voice", but now I know what you actually sound like. Cool!
DH came in to hear the Leroy Anderson - his favorite composer.

I love, love, love your video post! It was almost as good as being there, but not quite. We had snow all day. It's cold here, too. We have sister weather!

OMG!! I got one of those "buttons" from a friend last year! I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas has always been my favorite Christmas song and my friend saw that button in a Hallmark store last year and said she laughed so hard when she saw it that she totally embarrassed herself in the store! I'm glad you love yours too!
You look FAB, by the way.

I saw it on flickr first but of course I had to come here to hear the song. Yay, I *love* this song. I will be whistling all night. Be very glad you can't hear me.
