I love anenomes, but only realized a few years ago that I'd been mispronouncing them all my life. I'd always called them an-e-mones, rather than a-nem-ony. Once I'd figured that out, it made the little rhyme from Louisa May Alcott's "Jack and Jill" where there all writing poems to put in May Day baskets make so much more sense. Because, the way I THOUGHT it was pronounced, the poem just didn't rhyme!
Gorgeous, Sandy. Those colors would make a lovely sock!!
Posted by Nora at May 1, 2008 09:47 AMI love close-ups of flowers (as you can tell from my post today!) and I love these.
