Warm Hands Participants

When I was newly married (21 years ago for those who are trying to peg my age bracket) I had visions of evenings full of love, conversation, dinner to rival gourmet restaurants, Me-time as well as exercise time. I specifically imagined myself jogging. Oh, my sides hurt with the mirth that brings me now. Me?? Jogging? I just didn't know myself well enough yet. I had high hopes. But the point is that I envisioned hour after hour of contented family time to fill in.

I wonder now where those hours go to. I have a certain amount of time in a day but it seems to rush by with only a fraction of my mental to-do list getting done. I think that if, by some miracle of time shift happened and I was given an extra hour every day, it would somehow get jam packed full in a split second.

So, I started a knitalong. And I do not regret it, but I should have had a plan in place to deal with the knitalong business. I still do not. Have a plan. And me being html challenged that I am, I have a desperate help call out to my guru. So, for now, I will list the participants here.

Wow, Sandy, this is beeyooooteeeful! That Mary IS so talented, isn't she?! And now there's ANOTHER BUTTON from which to choose and I love this one the best of all. How does a girl choose? If I knit two pairs of mittens, or three or four, perhaps I can take several buttons to clutter up my page. Geesh.

Posted by: Norma at October 24, 2005 06:20 PM

hehe and i though i was the only one who found my way over here *waves to norma*

very nice page (and handy having a separate one for this thanks to you both!)

wahhhhhh it's not fair...i've got the two half pairs clamoring to be finished and you have to keep bringing up the latvian-mittens-that-i'm-dying-to-try-but-i-have-neither-the-book-nor-the-time-just -now...
i'll have to drool over everyone else's (figuratively i promise lol) til i can get a copy (and another 24 hours to each day!)

now where have those mitten orphans hidden themselves..... ;o)

Posted by: geniap at October 25, 2005 04:59 PM

Um, I already forgot that I was to give you an update on Sunday. See why my blog is so neglected! No progress on those Estonian mittens but I'm going to try and get them done by Sunday so I can email you a pic :-D

I'm in a mitten frenzy, so am very glad to have the knit-along. There is also a Yahoo! group called the Mittenalong, for those of us who are probably permanently infected!

Posted by: Ma Hatfield at October 25, 2005 11:10 PM

It sounded so sad to be called blogless Lisa - like I'm missing some essential thing that I really need. So, I'm trying this blogging thing out and we'll see if I'm good at it. In the meantime I finished a pair of fingerless mittens - I have a link to the pattern in my post. Don't have a digital camera yet, but maybe this is a good reason to get one.

Posted by: Lisa at October 25, 2005 11:47 PM

Wow! What a nice surprise - Mary did a superb job. I love the layout, how cozy!

Posted by: Tiffany at October 26, 2005 03:38 AM
