Carrie finished 2 wonderful pairs of mittens, among them my favorite Hermione mittens!
Nicola not one but 2 pairs of mittens from the Folk knitting book! Among many other things. Great knitting!

Candace has finished one mitten of her own beautiful design!
Genia is grooving right along with more mittens than I can actually list here. Go see!
Melissa finished a pair of Plain mittens. She calls them plain, I call them warm!
Carola has not only finished a great pair of fingerless mittens, but has managed to pose them against a sky to drool over! 2 of my favorite things!
Melissa has finished many a pair of cashmere fingerless mittens. (scroll down on her page). Did you hear me? CASHMERE! Who wouldn't want Those warm hands?
Margene finished a pair of gloves that make my fingers want gloves. These are technically for Nona's Peaceful Palms knitalong, but hey! Warm hands are warm hands! Check out her hat-a-mania while you are there!
Reb has finished her very first pair of mittens. Not only that, they are destined for the Dulaan knitalong. Bravo, Reb! Hands will be warm because of you!

Bernadette has finished a blue pair of mittens. Hooray for Bernadette!
Mary has the most beautiful knitting going on at her place. She has finished a soothing pair made of bartlett yarns. And has started a pair that my imagination is knitting itself!
Kim is knitting blindly on Nancy Bush faith to finishe her beautiful Estonian gloves. Check out her night snow sky photo while you are there!
Ina finished a gorgeous pair of fingerless mittens that are her own creation. And something to be proud of, certainly!

Jillz has started a pair for herself. They are beautiful even if they need some tweeking! And look here! her super secret pair is done. Remember not to tell. Better not!
Mary finished a great pair made with leftover sock yarn and all season's cotton. The perfect after Thanksgiving mittens!

Good thing many of these knitters are finishing up their mittens. From many of the snowy pictures on blogs, there are some cold hands!
Warm up YOUR hands and knit them some mittens!

I finished a red pair for myself. And those handspun fingerless mitts for Dale. Don't those count? I bought a kit to knit some Nordic ones but I'm intimidated by it. Once the Knit Unto Others knit along is finished, though, I'm going to try them.

Well I didn't get an update in on time, probably because I was so sick about the fact that I spent Sunday ripping out the second pair of mittens for the second time! Pair number 2 is going to be knit with some pastel patterning sock yarn (can't remember brand, maybe Trekking?) and Kid merino. First time I was thinking I didn't want the fluffy in the cuff, but the minute I added I decided I did. Second time I got to the end of the thumb gusset, slipped it on to admire and realized they're too big for me! Given the pastels, I couldn't think of many people who (a) had big enough hands and (b) liked pastels. So out it came again. Bleah!

Posting a pic of my (first) pair right now ~ looks like I WILL have enough yarn for the mother-daughter set, so I've cast on the smaller ones, too!
