Mitten monday, 2 week edition

Sorry to leave you dangling by your thumbs!
Here's this weeks (and last week's but who is counting?) mitten update!
~~
Helen completed her first ever pair of mittens. Proud? ME?? Cutie pie boy modeling them too! Bet he used them in the snowstorm the other day!
Jenn finished mittens that do not fit her. Great gift material!
Cara is left feeling cold after a false mitten start. She's busy working on the cold feet, which really are just mittens for toes!
Norma has the most beautiful thrummed mitten made with her own handspun. I am impressed!
Carole finished a pair of red mittens for herself (doesn't everyone need a pair of red mittens?) and a pair of handspun fingerless mitts for her hubby. A family of warm hands! I'm waiting to see the Nordic mittens! You can do it! It's only yarn!
Blogless Mary in Virginia is getting lots of practice on a pair made with trekking yarn. She's ripped the same pair out twice! Third times the charm, Mary!
Maggi finished a beautiful pair of mittens made with Maryland Mohair and had enough left for a matching pair for the cutest cutie! Mother/daughter mittens! Warms MY heart! I love them, Maggi!
Diane E finished another of her fabulous mittens for her nephew who lives in Wyoming. I'm thinking he could use all the warm hands he can get!
Carrie is about to start her THIRD pair of warm hands mittens! Wow! (She could even have them done by now!)
Meg (who tagged me for a meme and I have successfully ignored it, for now! :) hee!)is knitting her very first mitten ever. Not only that, but she is creating the design for it! Bravo, Meg! (I'll do the meme, I promise!)
Ruth finished her first pair of mittens which are destined to be a Dulann hat!
Uli finished a pair of mittens, just in time for the winter weather! Check out her December 3rd entry for the beauty that is mittens!
Miz Booshay finished a great pair of stripey mittens! And she has modeled them in the most creative way I have seen yet! Go look! See the adorable baby sock too?
Candace has started the second of the gorgeous cable mittens. You have to see them! She thinks she may be out of her mind because she started a stranded pair too. I think she's just my type of people!
Erica finished a beautiful pair of Norwegian mittens! She needs mittens for her heart though. Life is throwing lemons at her too!
Blogless Angie has started her pair of fulled mittens!
Kara has finished one dragon mitten! I can't wait to see the finished mittens!
Laura is zipping right along on her Nordic mitten!
Michelle has finished 2 pairs of great, warm mittens for 2 special girls! Go see her snowbear! Cute!
Kathy is knitting her first ever pair of mittens! I'm glad! I'm also glad she is blogging again. I missed her!
Lisa is one of the most generous people I know. She is knitting another pair of fingerless mittens, and yet, she still has cold hands. But a warm, warm heart!
Hilary has the most MOST beautiful wrist warmers and gloves I have seen. Gloves. Who knew I'd like them so much? Great job, Hilary!
Nicola has finished a great pair of Salish mittens! Go see! I just love the colors! And pattern!
Erin is a newcomer! She is knitting mittens for her best friend! Lucky friend!
Blogless Linda in Ohio has finished two pairs of mittens for her nieces in Colorado and even mailed them! I tell ya, I'm most impressed with that! How's the pair for you daughter coming along?
Kimberly has finished not one, not two, but THREE pairs of mittens! She still has 2 more pairs to go! I think she knows a lot of people that will have warm hands!
Jessica finshed a great pair of blue mittens!
Paula has knit the most adorable mini mitten! (December 8th entry) Yes, Paula, they count! :)And they are felted!
Forgotten Julia, only literally, not in spirit! finished a wonderful thrummed mitten and 1 1/2 gloves. Between the two, there is a pair of warm hand there! :)
Emma finished a lovely, super warm pair of red mittens to keep Oliver's hands warm! I bet they warm his heart too!
~~
Gracious, that's all? Certainly you can find mitten inspiration in there somewhere! There certainly is something for everyone!
Mitten on, friends!

Hi, Sandy -- no blog, no pix. But I've finished the following mittens during the last 5 weeks: 3 pairs wrist warmers from the Irish Hiking Scarf knitalong site (for friend L, friend S, and niece C); two pairs Maine wool mittens -- one rosy red with a cable cuff, one with wide stripes of heathery red and heathery green; one pair quick and easy 'hey, my hands are cold' Lopi (32 stitches around) mittens in dark green; and one pair of exceedingly fraternal mittens from Noro Kureyon. This knitalong has been so much fun. . . and more mittens to start next week.

Hi, an update from forever ago with a picture can be found on my blog at http://on-my-needles.blogspot.com/2005/11/kal-updates.html
I have since lost the second ball of yarn and therefore stalled on that project.
There is another pair of fingerless mittens being knit up as a Christmas gift, I'm only just starting the second one today. Wonder if I'll make it by day after tomorrow...
