People who are knitting to get rid of cold hands!

Here's the list of Mitten knitters! (remember, I use the word "MITTEN" generically. You may be knitting gloves. Or fingerless hand covers. Or you may be wrapping yarn around your hands and calling them warm. It's all the same to me!

Check this list often, this is where I will add new names as people join in!~~~~~

A FEW THOUGHTS!
1. It is never too late to join this knitalong. Remember, we are just knitting to warm hands. Not get prizes or fame. Okay, maybe fame. But no prizes. Join anytime. There is no time limit!
2. If you leave a comment to older posts on this blog, they will not show up until I approve them. This does not mean that you cannot comment, just know that they won't appear right away. It's a stab at spam control. It's not the best system, but it's in place and it's hard to adjust!
So, comment away!! GO AHEAD! What are you waiting for?

~Paula who I thought had a giant ball of yarn or a tiny basset hound (sept 8th entry)
~Pat who not only knits beautiful things, but quilts beautiful things!
~Keri who knits sweaters that are WAY too big for her!
~Dave who ran the Bitchin' Mittens knitalong. Now, he can just bitch about mittens.
~Cookie, who plans to knit fingerless mitts ala Norma style. Don't be alarmed, but her blog will tell you to shut up. It's not you!
~Leah who has some of the most beautiful sky photos ever. And you know how much I love that!
~Kathleen who plans to knit mittens for charity and a pair of fingerless mitts for her icy hands at the office. I guess the workplaces keep it so cold so we won't be tempted to nap. Too busy shivering!
~KathyB has never knit a mitten and she's written a little poem about it in the comments to the last post. Check it out! it's time, KathyB to put an end to those cold hands!
~Jane who is not plain by any means, has not knit a mitten since 1985! It's time, Jane, it's time!
~Janet who may need help to post buttons on her blog. Anyone care to help her out? That will make a warm heart!
~Cathy says she lives in MItten Country! Minnesota! (for some reason, I can't land on Cathy's blog, my browser crashes every time.)
~Karen who thinks she can live with the strict rules and knows she will soon indeed have cold hands! She also has the cutest pup who just had surgery! Get better, Riley!

Great job, Elizabeth!

Warm Hands, 2006-2007~

After much begging, (okay, okay one person. And they didn't beg, they suggested. Same difference!) I do believe it's time to have a Warm Hands Knitalong again. Even though today is 80 degrees, warm and sunny summerlike, the fall nip is in the air and the thought of cold hands can't help but creep into the psyche.
So, do you want to knit mittens? Along with lots of others? I am not going to run a contest, just so you know. This is purely to get hands into mittens.
Let's stay with last year's rules.
Here's the rules in case you are thinking of joining. I'm a stickler for rules ;)
1. Knit mittens
2. knit them now
3. or later
4. just knit them
5. You must finish them
6. Or not. Your call
7. Share your progress with me
8. I know that Tuesday is Knitalong day in some worlds, but here it will be MItten Monday. Sunday would be a good day to email me with updates.
9. Be happy and have warm hands!

~~~
Wanna?
please email me at areyourhandscold@gmail.com and you're in! Be sure to leave me your blog name and email address!
If there is anything I can't stand is COLD HANDS!
